James A. Prostko, Esquire

Mr. Prostko concentrates his practice in the areas of small business reorganizations, creditor representation in bankruptcy cases and Chapter 7 and 13 consumer bankruptcy cases. He served as a Chapter 7 Trustee on the Panel of Trustees for the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania for seventeen years, handling several thousand Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases. He was also a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph L. Cosetti, Chief Bankruptcy Judge in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Prostko is a 1969 graduate of Montour High School, earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973 and a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University in 1978, where he was a member of the Law Review. Mr. Prostko is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and frequently lectures on various bankruptcy topics. Over the past 22 years he has been an active volunteer for the Neighborhood Legal Services Pro Bono Bankruptcy Program.

Edgardo D. Santillán, Esquire

Mr. Santillán concentrates in the areas of small business reorganizations, consumer bankruptcy law, corporate and commercial finance and creditor representation. He formerly acted as Special Counsel to the County of Beaver, Commonwealth of PA, in both federal & state courts. Mr. Santillán represented tax collection agencies, including the Beaver County Tax Claim Bureau, with regard to complex tax collection issues before U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He received his B.S. in Biology (PreMed) from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1987, and his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law in 1990 where he was a member of Juris, the Duquesne Law School Magazine, and was the President of the International Law Society in 1989. Mr. Santillán is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Allegheny & Beaver County Bar Associations, the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association and, the Hispanic Bar Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. Santillán has been a speaker for various professional groups on topics of bankruptcy & tax laws, and has taught CLE classes for the Beaver County Bar Association. He was also previously appointed as Special Divorce Trustee in complex divorce cases in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. |
Hillary N. Snyder, Esquire (Of Counsel)

Ms. Snyder concentrates in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation. She received her B.A. in Communications and a Certificate in Business Law from Duquesne University in 1998, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2001. Ms. Snyder has been an active member of the Allegheny Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and American Bar Association, previously serving on the Executive Counsel of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Snyder has also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates. Ms. Snyder is a frequent speaker on various topics regarding estate planning and estate administration issues. |

Ms. Buben serves as one of the firm's paralegals. She received her Associates Degree from The Bradford School, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2008. Prior to her tenure at Santillán & Associates, she managed a clothing store in Western PA. She is a graduate from Ellwood City High School.

Mrs. Griesser serves as the firm's paralegal. She received her B.A. in Communications with a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida in 2004. Prior to her tenure at our firm, she worked at the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymore and Pease in Akron, Ohio as an administrative assistant. Mrs. Griesser has been a member of the Ohio Youth Ballet Company, Northeast Ohio Dance Ensemble & the Florida Atlantic Dance Team where she was captain for two years. |
